Love is not liking some a…

Love is not liking some a whole lot. Its not getting your way all the time. Its not meaningless words or physicalities. Its not all about “me” or “I”. Love is sacrificially giving of yourself. Constantly comforting and supporting someone in need. Continuously caring about someone even when they have hurt or betrayed you. Its the ability to not be hurtful.

Prayer can be used as a form of love. When you pray God listens and He knows your heart. You never know what a person is going through. So continuously pray for those you love. Short story: During New Years I attended watch night service and as the New Year was coming we spent time in prayer. I prayed over many things and was blessed for the incoming year. After a while I began seeing my spiritual life blossom. I knew it was for many of the things I prayed for, but for some reason I felt like a lot of my spiritual growth was not from my prayers alone. Even to this day almost 7 months later I still feel this way. I really feel like whoever this person is truly loves me and has been praying for me for quite some time. I just want to say thank you for loving me and God will bestow the same love you bestowed upon me. Thank you and I love you too!

(1 Corinthians 13:4-13) 4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
