Division in Christ….

I have to post this. God has been putting this on my heart for a while. These are just a few of the campus ministries on campus. Notice the event, date and time. Hmmm….. interesting all on the same day and same time. So what is the big deal? Let me take it further… Each campus ministry will have a service during the week. For some odd reason this school year pretty much all the campus ministries have been having their services on the same day around the same time! Now as Christians we are called to fellowship with one another, right? That means with EVERYONE. There should be opportunity for all Christians to come together REGARDLESS of how you practice what you believe (different denominations). How is having services and events all on the same day and same time creating opportunity for ALL Christians (including new followers) to come together and fellowship with one another? How? The same people will go to the same place every single time. There is no opportunity to go somewhere new and meet new people because of division. There is too much division! This just shows overall for ALL Christians (The Church) in the world. We are too divided. There shouldn’t be any division (Sectarinism) in following Christ. We are supposed to be like-minded in Christ.

(1 Corinthians 1:9-11) 9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 10 Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 11 For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you.

*take note of the verse numbers 9-11…. it shocked me when actually realized what the numbers were.
