(Isaiah 58:12) 12 Those from among you Shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In.
I am taking time to better understand Spiritual gifts and how to understand my own God given gift(s). I want to share with you all who want to understand your gift(s) and how to discover your own gift. Happy viewing! 🙂
Molding, transforming, removing the unneeded and replacing with the needed. God has showed me (more than once) that I have to change my ways. My keeping to myself as a way of protecting myself from hurt is only selfishness and controlling. I can’t be the person that God has called me to be if I’m a selfish person.
(Phillipians 2:3-4) 3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.
(Isaiah 64:8) 8 But now, O Lord,
You are our Father;
We are the clay, and You our potter;
And all we are the work of Your hand.
I was just sitting here thinking, does God ever get annoyed with His children? I don’t mean by our heathenish ways “oh Lord, help me get through and I’ll… and I’ll never…..again.” Calling upon Him when we only want or need something, but calling upon Him because we want His attention. Think about a little child with his/her parent constantly “daddy, daddy” or “mommy, mommy” and the child tugging at their parent for attention. We all know after some point the parent gets annoyed and tends to the child. I was wondering if God gets annoyed because I called upon Him right before I went to sleep last night and all wanted was to have more of Him. 🙂
