Tidbits of submission

So I’ve been reflecting and gaining knowledge on what it means to submit from a woman’s standpoint.

Word of advice to men: if you tell a female “NO” and she then in turn tries to “twist your arm” and make you change your mind, then what you need to do is turn around and take off running! She is not able to respect your wishes nor respect you. Don’t end up having a female come singing to you: and you, and you, and you, you’re gonna love me!

(Ephesians 5:33) 33 Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

(Proverbs 19:13) 13 A foolish son is the ruin of his father,
And the contentions of a wife are a continual dripping.

Made perfect in love: How we love others with the love of God

Made perfect in love:

How we love others with the love of God

Renewed mind and new man

First we start with our foundation: new birth and how we became born again.

  • John 3: 5-8
  • Romans 5: 12-15; 6: 4-6, 11-14

Once we are born again we have to focus on self through renewing our mind and nurturing our spirit man.

  • Romans 12: 1-2
    • We are changed by having fewer thoughts like the world and having more thoughts like the Kingdom.
  • Ephesians 4: 17-24
    • We flee from sin and start to become more like Christ.
  • 1 John 4: 4, 6
    • Since we are of God we should be more like Him.
  • Hebrews 5: 12-14
    • We must feed our spirit man “age” appropriate food.
  • 1 Corinthians 13: 11-13
    • We put behind us our childish ways (old ways) and look at ourselves the way God sees us. Now that our new man is developing we only know of God’s plans in part.
    • We must abide in the Lord. His greatest gift is love.

Greatest commandment: love God and your neighbor (1 John 4:21, Luke 10:27, Mark 12: 30-31, etc.)

Love

  • John 3: 16
  • 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7
    • Love is unconditional

God

SORRY THERE WAS A PICTURE HERE THAT DIDN’T SHOW UP. It’s a huge heart with God in the middle. There are two stick people, one on each side of the heart. Arrows are pointing to the heart representing our love for God and God loving us. Within the heart our love for God turns into a dash line meaning God’s love is being manipulated so we can love others. Between the stick people is a squiggly, unconnected line with a stop sign on the line. This represents that we can love others from ourselves. Loving from ourselves is conditional, self-fulfilling.

  • When we love God we can love others. We can’t love others out of our own will because love is not in us. We don’t have the power to love from ourselves if don’t know and love Christ first.

How to love (God’s instructions)

As Christians we are to love one another, but we have to love others the way God love us.

  • 1 John 4:7-16
    • God is love
    • Though love is unconditional, there is one condition in loving others, we must ABIDE IN GOD
  • Ephesians 4: 25-32
    • Rid yourself of hateful and mean behaviors. Be sweet and kindhearted to one another.

    Romans 12: 9-21

  • 1 Samuel 16:7
    • When you love others don’t focus on what you see on the outside, look at what you see in the inside. When you look at someone’s heart you should see God.

    Colossians 3

  • Galatians 5: 22-23
    • Bare the fruit of the Spirit

Perfect love

  • Colossians 3:14
    • Love is what makes us perfect
  • 1 John 4:12, 17-19
    • Love has been perfected when we abide in God.
    • When we become obedient and put fear aside from serving others the way that God has called us to serve and love one another then we can be made perfect in love. We have to be bold and not worry about what people will think of us when we go ALL out to do the will of God, even when it goes against the norms of the world.
  • 1 Corinthians  13: 8-10
    • Once we become perfect in God’s love what we knew of God’s plans in part will no longer be done in part, but be done in completeness, wholeness, PERFECTION…. 1.
      • 1 represents unity, God (John 17: 20-26)
  • Matthew 5:48
    • We must be made perfect because God is perfect. BE LIKE CHRIST.

Spiritual message

Yeah this is long over due……… I spoke this back on Feb. 28th.  I began “thinking out loud” and was on a roll, so I decided to record myself. This is my “first” message. I  pray you are blessed and not offended by the message.

Use your words

I’ve been slipping on my inspirational messages lately because been so busy with school and all, but right now I got some stuff on my heart to say.

If you got something to say then say it. Subtle hints is one thing, but when you go to the lengths of “throwing up a huge banner” to make a point, not only is the person you trying to communicate to can see it, but everyone else can see it and all that shows is that you lack proper communication skills, that you lack confidence in yourself to be able to communicate with people, and just being foolish. When you can’t be direct about what is on your mind or on your heart to say no one can take you seriously and the further time passes the less important it becomes. There is no fear being who you are and expressing that. Just say what you got to say.

(Ephesians 4:29) 29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.

(Matthew 5:36-37) 36 Nor shall you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black. 37 But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.
